Wine Bottle Gift Tag

Do you hate trying to wrap a bottle of wine but want to dress it up a bit before giving it as a gift? Then try this adorable gift tag!

This couldn't be easier to make. Just cut a piece of cardstock (Bashful Blue was used in the sample) 3" by 8" and score one end at 2 3/4". Now take your 1 3/8" circle punch and punch a hole in the center of the small end for the neck of the wine bottle to slide through. Decorate with the stamped images of your choice (I used Perfect Presentation and the Let It Snow wheel) and you're all set to wow the lucky recipient of that bottle of wine!

You’re Invited to a Holiday Card Class

Would you like to send your family and friends a more personal Christmas card this year? Looking for a unique way to spend a fun evening with friends? If so, I would like to invite you into my home for a festive card-making event! For a $20, you will make and take home twelve (12) Holiday cards, three each of four different designs. All paper will be pre-cut, and all supplies are included with your registration fee. No stamping experience is necessary to join in on the fun!

Pre-registration (including payment) is required due to the popularity of this class.
Registration must be received by November 10th to allow for preparation of materials.

My husband got me the Jumbo Outline Alphabet for my birthday (isn't he wonderful!) and I just can't put it down. As you may have noticed, I love watercoloring, so any set that lets me whip out my aquapainter is sure to be a favorite. :)

This card was a lot of fun to make, and the designer paper made it come together in no time. The scalloped edge is made by taking the guard of off your corner punch and punching repeatedly in a line at the bottom. Cute, huh?

Christmas in August?!?

I know, I know! Christmas cards in August? Really! Couldn't I at least wait until Labor Day like all the stores do? LOL! It was disgustingly hot out yesterday, so I thought working on some holiday cards might help me to cool off. Or at least think cool, which can be a help on days like that!

This first one uses the new level 1 hostess set, Sidekick Sayings, as well as Polka Dots & Paisley for the embossed red dots on the bottom half. The image is colored in with markers, and then all of the white background was dusted with with a touch of color using the Color Spritzer tool.



The next two cards utilize the Three For You punch. I love how versatile this punch is! Who would have thought a flower punch would make such cute holiday cards?





My last two cards use It's Snow Time and Lovely as a Tree. Each card is three layers (sky, trees/mountains, and snowpeople), and the top two layers are popped up on dimensionals to give the scene some depth. Trust me when I say these look much cooler in person.

Crop-a-dile How To

My favorite new tool in the new catalog is the Crop-a-Dile.



It is an eyelet setter and hole puncher in one. Its built-in 1/8" and 3/16" circle punchers punch through chipboard, tin, and multiple paper layers with ease. It also silently and easily sets eyelets of any size. When you get one, don't throw away the cardboard backing, because it gives you all of the information you need on how to set it for different sizes of eyelets.
